Lift Check Valve Introduction
The lift check valve, also known as a lift non-return valve, is a widely used type of check valve that consists of a valve body, bonnet, piston, spring, seals, and other components. This valve operates by lifting the piston to open the valve when the fluid flows forward, allowing the fluid to pass through. However, when the fluid flows in reverse, the piston is pushed down and compressed by the spring, which causes the valve to close and prevent the fluid from flowing back.
The main benefit of the lift check valve is that it provides excellent sealing performance, which prevents backflow and protects equipment from damage. It is often used in applications where backflow prevention is critical, such as in water treatment plants, pumping stations, and industrial processes.
